Thanksgiving.
Starting this blog off with a nod to everything for which I am grateful feels appropriate on this strange and still wonderful Thanksgiving 2020. I intend this blog to be more about the general trials and tribulations of my training, as well as gear reviews to help those who come after me. I’m excited to bring you all on my journey!
But first, a few thanks are in order:
my parents, for everything, and especially for taking me in during the pandemic, putting up with my existential crises during this time, and providing unwavering support even when they may not agree with my constant pursuit of adrenaline
my friends, for being more like family, for indulging my passions even when they have no interest in them (except in support of me), and for being badasses in their own right - you inspire me constantly
my Derby partner, Kristin, who continually pushes the envelope, and rightfully convinces me to buy the dog, buy the horse, take the leap - not later, but now
all the rest of you out there who have indulged my horse girl energy and been enthusiastic enough to read this - I appreciate your support and encouragement, always.
