Day in the life
I often see people looking me up on LinkedIn, probably wondering if I still have a job, given a) the global pandemic and b) the fact that I seem to be out in the woods or on ponies a lot during the day. Yes, I am still employed. I work West Coast hours, so I have mornings free to do what I want or need to do. When I’m in MA and the barn close, a day goes something like this:
6:30 AM - wake up, log on to answer emails or potentially catch people in China or India for a quick meeting
7:15 AM - take the dog out, feed her, feed myself
8:00 - 10:00 AM - head to the barn and ride
10:00 -11:30 AM - work out, shower, play with dog, do chores
11:30 AM -7:00 PM - work
7:00 - 7:30 PM - dinner with my parents
7:30-9ish - finish up work, late meetings, etc
9:00 - 10:00 PM - veg out - currently watching episodes of The Crown
When I am in VA, it’s a variation on this, but dinner is usually earlier and since the barn is farther and we ride longer, on riding days I don’t usually get a workout in as well.
There you have it!
And yes, this means I have no social life (outside of hanging with my roommates), which is currently okay because we’re in a pandemic and can’t meet up with people anyways.
